Signs Your Window Timber Needs Repair
Timber window damage often starts small. Peeling paint, soft timber or a cracked sill can allow moisture to get further into the frame and surrounding weatherboards. Repairing the damaged timber early can help prevent a much larger repair later.

Painting over damaged timber doesn’t solve the problem. If timber has deteriorated beyond a sound surface, simply filling, sanding and painting over it can hide the damage rather than repair it.

01 — Inspect the Damage
We check the window frame, sill, trims and surrounding timber to understand how far the deterioration extends.
02 — Remove Unsound Timber
Loose, rotten or badly deteriorated material is removed back to a suitable substrate.
03 — Repair or Replace
Depending on the condition, damaged sections can be repaired or replaced with suitable timber to restore the area properly.
04 — Prepare & Protect
The repaired area is prepared, primed and sealed as required before finishing.
05 — Paint & Finish
We finish the repaired area with a professional paint system designed to protect the timber and integrate with the surrounding surfaces.

Not every damaged window needs to be completely replaced. In many cases, deterioration is limited to particular sections of the frame, sill or surrounding timber.
We assess how far the damage extends and whether the affected timber can be properly repaired or whether sections should be cut out and replaced. The goal is to fix the underlying problem — not simply make it look better for the next coat of paint.
